Lovely paint job :-*
With a lovely back drop.
Same questions as above. Where is the gate from or is it home grown?

Hi,

Thanks for your kind comments chaps, the buildings are from the Hudson and Allen model of the Alamo, i got given those bits as a freebie, nice to paint up. They come from the States and you can get the Chapel as a seperate model. I'll try to find the link later when i get home.

The figures as you know are off Mamalute, full of character and some of those figures that are so well sculpted that paintings made easy!

cheers Tim

Malamute's miniatures need no introduction methinks  ;) Their quality is outstanding and they indeed paint up nicely.
I still have a bag of unpainted ones but regularly check if there's finally some news on the new Mexican miniatures he's been promising  :D
Does anyone know any other manufacturers of a 25/28mm Alamo? I found this guy http://projects.ajc.com/gallery/view/metro/cobb/alamo0501/ (http://projects.ajc.com/gallery/view/metro/cobb/alamo0501/) who did a nice job :-*, but a bit large.
Hudson and Allen can be found here http://www.wargamescenics.com/products.html (http://www.wargamescenics.com/products.html)
But are there any others out there?

They will be along soon, just waiting for Matthew to put the finishing touches to them. ;)

Mark lemon's Alamo model you mention above is superb and is thought to be the most faithful rendition of the mission so far. He has produced a book which is superb and has loads and loads of photos. It also includes scale plans for anyone who wishes to build it.. ;D

Great stuff Tim - Nick should put them in his site's gallery pronto. These sorts of pics always provide a kick up the backside for slackers like me to get on with a project.

I'll be able to get back to painting my Boot Hill stuff after Triples. Can't wait to get back to 28mm after far too many 15mm figures  :(

And I agree with Svennn - who else is going to make that mission?   lol

Cheers GM, i like the way they turned out. The figures are such dynamic sculpts even i can paint them!

One day i hope Nick will turn his Mamlaute Empire towards the construction industry. ;D

I'm sending out for a shitload of foamcore, balsa, polyfiller and dremel bits!

You don't scare me with your fancy architectural model-quality buildings  >:(

Well, not much  :(

Roll on Triples, so I can buy the book and get planning.

I saw the Mexican Infantry work in progress at Matt's this weekend. They will be worth the wait, so be patient. I especially liked the fat sergeant with swagger stick ~ I wonder what it is with me and fat figures????? :D
