Dunno if this is of any interest, but I went into Wickes DIY yesterday and found some cork tiles pack of 9 3.2mm thick for £7.69
which was rather nice.
mocked up a couple of buildings and seems like they do the trick

Cool, I shall pop to my local wickes later!

Thanks Dodge, I might get a pack or two for my Presidio project, seeing as how I can't seem to find any foamcore nearby >:(
I like cork tiles - nice and easy to work with and minimal risk of injury to fingers :D

Do you have a Hobbycraft? I noticed they had them at £5.99 for two sheets.

I think there's one in Coventry, but that's a long slog into bandit country :(
I'll do a search for something nearer - thanks for the tip!

Try this.
I get my Foamcore online and have it delivered (Thats what real gentlemen do) ;)

That would work, but
a) I'm no gentleman and
b) My good lady wife intercepts all deliveries and then I have to try and justify them whilst facing a toe-tapping withering glare :(
lol
I'll definitely bear that in mind if I can't find a local supplier though. Thanks :)

I never waste money - all the cd's, books and of course wargames stuff are all essential purchases ;)

I suspect it's a very common hazard for most wargamers. It's true - the shouting is a doddle. When you've had the RSM at full throttle from 6 inches away, any other nasty noise is just a pleasant whisper by comparison.
That toe-tapping though....... lol

They're the same thing. A sheet of foam sandwiched between sheets of card. It's okay as long as you have a sharp blade. I'd actually recommend a foamcore cutter.
