Crooked Dice Game Design Studio opens it's virtual doors today at www.crooked-dice.co.uk (http://www.crooked-dice.co.uk)

Crooked Dice is a new company from the evil geniuses behind the Doctor Who Miniatures Game (DWMG), specialising in wargames miniatures and rules for the golden age of cult TV.

Release the action:engine!
All our games use the D6 action:engine. Simply that's a snazzy name for Crooked Dice’s rules system. If you’ve played the DWMG, then you’ll be familiar with the core system. But the updated action:engine has a number of new features including the ability to build characters and squads for the first time.

DWMG - wargaming in time and space!
The Doctor Who Miniatures Game (DWMG) is already available FREE from its own website - www.drwhominiatures.co.uk - with dozens of extra pages of PDFs available to suit your classic or new Who tastes!  Watch out for a special release this weekend to celebrate the launch of the new series!

7TV - Inch-High Spy-Fi!
On sale in late 2010 comes 7TV, a new 28mm skirmish ruleset inspired by the cult action TV shows of the 1960s and 70s. In 7TV, you can recreate all your favourite cult TV shows on the tabletop. Choose to play a squad led by a suave agent or a flamboyant scientific genius or even a troupe of daredevil fighting girls. Or play as an evil mastermind with despicable henchmen or as an otherworldly menace from beyond the veil!

And miniatures too!
28mm miniatures suitable for both the DWMG and 7TV are also available to pre-order from the website today. First to come is investigative academic Tweedy Mattison and his trusty WPC sidekick May Killan both sculpted by Kev White of Hasslefree! Both will do well in games set in any modern(ish) period and are planned for release in May/June subject to casting schedules.

Stay tuned!

Yep points are coming - certainly for 7TV.

We're just beginning second draft stage but setting up the business, the website and prep for Salute has been eating up all our time in the last couple of weeks.

After Salute, we'll turn our attention back to the rules, but we are aiming for a late 2010 release. We'll be releasing more details and previews in the next few months, but there's a little more info and an idea of the tone on the 7TV page of the site here:

Very cool--any target date for the minis shipping or if/when pics of the greens/first casts will be available?

Kev is still sculpting. But (depending on his schedule) we hope to have pics just before Salute. If all goes well our aim is for release May/June subject to casters schedule. We wil ship within one week of receiving stuff from the casters. All details are on the order pages of the website if you need the detail.

Everyone who has been good enough to pre-order is covered by our cast iron money back guarantee. If they don't like what they see we'll return your funds, but we're confident Kev's work will blow you away (we're BIG fans!).

So, how many pre-orders have you got in the last twenty minutes? It can't have been just me that ran to the computer straight after the episode ended...

Hmmm, I actually ran for mine when they announced the set... couldn`t help pondering how big the altar to the holy redhead should be when the fig arrives
