Post by: Smokeyrone on 03 April 2010, 10:57:18 PM
Terrapin Station!  Just like the Grateful Dead album cover!  In 15mm

That thumb with the purple nail polish is my daughters, not mine!  :)

impressive detail  :)

now, where's the train?  ;) ;)

ah, btw
if Your daughter would lift her thumb, You could raise the platform to the level of the door, and people wanting to leave the building and entering the train would both profit  ;)

Easy for you to say.  Until I get those Blue Moon Old West figs in my clutches, I'm leaving room for cutting out another 3mm of the doorway on the bottom!  Word on the street is they are like 20mm tall!

 :D

BTW, the REAL Terrapin Station:

Where do we get 15mm turtles playing tamborines?

There's a guy on TMP, CC, who has been asking about 15mm dancing trurtles for like five years.  (or rifle armed ape men, or somthing)

Looks great, pity it's not in 28mm or I'd have to steal it!

Thanks folks.  The telegraph pole is just an N scale telphone pole.

The deck is just a length of balsa, scribed and dry brushed.  (it broke into pieces after scribing, and gluing it back together actually made it look better.  Figure that out?

It has a ramp, that is abscured by my daughter's thumb.

Myincubliss, I intend to make a 28mm one just for fun.  Got any 15mm figures, and I'll make it and trade you?   :)

Nothing in the devil's scale alas, despite the best efforts of my LGS (suddenly stocking an entire wall of 15mm minis)

Is that Elton at Westgate? Doesn't surprise me.

AA's 15mms are very nice though.

This building is awesome, must say I'm a bit of a young Whippersnapper and any 'oldies' are usually the things most older people say 'what the hell is that' too.

Would be funny to put some TMNT figures in front of it.

lol!  My fear was someone would provide a link to some high end dancing  turtle scupts in 15mm, and I would be forced to buy them and repost the pics with them.   lol

Actually, I have bags of dollar store fish and sea life leftover from the SpongeBob SATF Zulu wars and Night of the Living Spongebob games I made.  So I have some turtles  are juts about scale, so I will get right on it, the next time I'm drunk and o :)n a Grateful Dead kick.
