I have one of those in the unpainted leadpile. Very clean and vibrant colours. Nice NMM armour too.

Wonderful vibrant colours OT.
Bad luck in your quarter final opponent over there. I fear he will be sweeping all before him this time.

By the way - who is Marco Columbo? A hybrid Marco Polo / Christopher Columbus?

Thanks :)

By the way - who is Marco Columbo?

Marco Colombo is best known as the explorer who "discovered" Lustria, although it was really discovered years before by the Norse. Marco was, however, the first Old Worlder in establishing friendly relations with the Lizardmen - a far from easy task! Before Marco?s epic trip to Lustria, it had visited Araby as merchant and taken part in different naval battles along the coast from Araby and around the pirate stronghold of Sartosa. Therefore, Marco was a seasoned veteran in diverse campaigns and was well known as a mercenary captain before making a name for himself as a explorer.

Apparently.   ;)

I just liked the look of the figure so bought one when the "strictly limited edition..." was re-released as a...strictly limited edition...three or four years back.

Very Nice NMM.
Nice focal points created using the red ring and yellow laurels on the armour tie into the colours on the cloth.

I love that paint job! I've always coveted the Marco Colombo figure, I think it's still on e-bay. You've done such a good job, the colors are pefect.

Thanks for the inspiration. I may have to visit e-bay to grab one of these.

Thanks guys.  Appreciate your comments.  :)

Always.  Don't pay too much.  It is NOT that rare.  About £5.00 average on Ebay.

I picked one up on a whim from a bargain bin at Triples a few years ago. Only cost £2.00  :D

I will probably never get mine painted and don't even know where he is at present  ::)

If I ever do get him done, I'd be delighted if he turned out half as good as OT's version.
