Hey guys
does anyone have any pics of this model? I'm considering buying one or two (maybe three) for some WOTW games. :)
-
How about these, a bit expensive but beautiful and 13 inches tall.

I will try to take photo for you at Salute on Saturday
-
I'm gonna be there on Saturday, I was considering buying one, but impatient.
Yeah, I haven't seen that site before, very nice martian walker, but perhaps a little out of my price region. However, if the Scheltrum one isn't particularly good, I might just get that one.
As for Cephalods, I am sculpting my own, based on the ones in the graphic novel. In 28mm and in 2mm (also usable for 15mm though).

Parroom make some tripods, seem to remember they are a bit pricey though. Monolith Designs do a Martian war machine, but no pic on there site either. I want to get three at some point, think I'll have a look at Scheltrum on Saturday too, been promising myself there mole for sometime.

Parroom's are 'personal' tripods, only small (comparatively), bit pricey, and with the postage and customs...
Monolith's one is very nice, there's a pic on the colonel marbles VSF conveyances page. However, I think it is out of the production, IIRC, the company doesn't exist anymore, but the website remains.
Scheltrum are a nice option, I was wondering if there is no photograph for copyright reasons? I'll get one at Salute along with the mole which I too have been promising myself for a while (I also want it for Panzerfauste). :)

Chaps,
I bought a tripod from Scheltrum a couple of years ago and while some of their stuff is good (I buy bits regulalry) I'm afraid the tripod I bought went straight into the attic unbuilt. In my humble opinion it's very basic so you might want to have a look before you buy. If I recall there's isn't a model on display on the stand so you'll have to get an idea from the bits in the bag. Saying that it could form the basis of a decent tripod but you'll have to do some work on it, I haven't got the time at the mo.
As for the Monolith tripod there's a pic here near the bottom of the page:

Also, have a look at this page under the model section, there's some crackers there:

I'm a huge fan of the book and in my opinion this is pretty close to what a WOTW tripod should look like:

True but I have to admit to being Jeff Wayne fan :D I'm going to see the stage show in December.
I have two of the one Elysium linked to. One day I'll build them, or accept defeat and trade them...

I want 3 martian warmachines too!
If you follow the Thunderchicken rule of thumb I reckon that is approx. 1.5l of pop you will need to consume then ;D
(apologies to all of you who will not get this joke)

No hijack intended but a few links to that classic three legged walker as well as a few others, enjoy !

We saw the stage show a couple of years ago - it was very good.
The first big concert that Alasdair had been to.

Had a look at the scheltrum one, it's a good starting point, but would need a lot of work.
I'd love a Eureka one, but postage from Australia is hell and Customs are bastards. It would be cheaper to get the big Jeff Wayne stylie one, or make my own! ;D

Heres a partial built tripod im constucting for my asteroid game:

Could you post a heads up on this forum when it's available for sale? I've been waiting a long time for these awesome tripods of yours 8)

Here are some 28mm Invaders from Mars I did for a game at the Fall In convention, 2011. John Mcwan on left, Scheltrum tallest in middle. Small ones are Paroom Station. These are based for Hordes of the Thing so had to squeeze big ones on 60mm wide bases. The red weed is an automatically extending bad going. Roll d6 each bound and new piece adds on appropriate edge.
