Chris gets the credit (or backlash) for the pun-tastic names of the monster hunters. My favorites are definitely Richard Alcock and Emma Poundwood. ::)
We are still waiting on Marc to finish his warband, but the campaign has "officially started" and there will certainly be many chapters to come.
Very Scarily Yours,
JET

Hey Dodge,
Just to clarify, are you clicking on pics to see the larger version. I've sized the full photos to 800 px across.

This project just keeps getting better and better...! :-*
Beautiful miniatures, excellent terrain and exciting, well-written reports.
Top notch all 'round!
-
Great game report, very enjoyable, excellent mini's too.
-
Thanks very much for the high praise gents. All aspects of the campaign - painting, playing, and writing - are proving to be most satisfying. I hadn't actually planned on Dr. Grunberg and his associates making an appearance yet, but the capture of Crazy Nell just begs for a Rescue scenario on the asylum grounds.
-
wonderful

Amazing , love the diary style of the story. :-*

Another cool tale, looking forward to number five.

well done jet

Thanks gents.
I realized that I would be playing probably twice as much as anyone else in the campaign, and even though the advancement will be fairly slow, I thought the easiest fix would be for me to play two warbands to everyone else's one.
And speaking of others in the campaign, this weekend past I saw Marc painting Dr. Prometheus Hartstone and his vile creations. For those who read any of the Assumption, Oklahoma stories in the Old West forum, Marc played the Black Cole Elgin gang.

He's right you, know, its bloody marvellous stuff. It makes me want to resurrect my Dracula project again (excuse the pun) ;)

Thank you gentlemen. As I've said before, it has been the stellar work of many LAF members that has inspired me. I'm at a point in my life where a couple of trees on a piece of felt just doesn't satisfy anymore.
Incidentally, Nick, you should definitely resurrect the Dracula project. I'm sure many others share that sentiment.

Great as always jet, you blog in a most masterful fashion.

Hurray! A new chapter!

I second that!

Good stuff :D
-
Excellent stuff, your reports make enjoyable reading. :)
I like the idea of catacombs and your cork pillers are inspried. I shall have to start saving wine corks, which means I will need to drink lots more wine.... ;)
-
a superb effort
A great story continues with excellent figures and some very effective scenery,
I love the catacombs simples and very effective
well done

Excellent as always. I think your reports are an excellent example of the spirit of the LAF. You source scenery from interesting things, amass figures from all over the place, the stories are exciting and you tie everything together with skill, style and panache.
There ought to be some sort of reward for this sort of thing :)
The two giant stone heads are interesting, where did you get them. I'm guessing some kind of action figure.
-
There ought to be some sort of reward for this sort of thing :)
Absolutely correct, whilst we think of one, I'll make the post sticky for all to see and enjoy.
-
Fun stuff! Thanks! :D
-
You gents are far too kind. All I can say is that we're having an absolute ball with these games.
The stone heads in the graveyard are some old resin heads that one of the guys gave to me. I'll ask him where they are from, I can't remember what he told me now.

Excellent! Thanks for posting!
-
The grave stones and crypt, where did you get them.
Lovely project BTW.
-
always great to get a message telling me that you added to your campagin. :D
-
Thanks again gentlemen. We are having a blast with these games, I won't deny it.
The grave stones and crypt, where did you get them.
The bulk of the gravestones come from Westwind's Vampire Wars range, right here: http://www.westwindproductions.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=2_19&products_id=66
Both the mausoleums and the underground crypt tiles/furnishings are homemade. Some of the furniture in the buildings came from the long OOP GW game Heroquest.
-
Your battle reports are always great fun and so inspiring. I especially liked the two battling Nosferatu warbands, which makes a change from the 'Good vs. Evil' confrontations that are, naturally, a common aspect of horror gaming. I look forward to the next instalment.
-
This is one of my favorite blogs to read.
-
This blog is simply brilliant. I'm looking forward to reading the next chapter.
-
I've read all of them. A fine story to be told indeed! :-* :-* :-* :-*
-
Good read. :D
