Just got me the board game and read the rules. Anybody ever tried to adapt this for tabletop? Should work great.

I've got the game too & the same thing has struck me. Probably best as a scenario generator or mechanism to run a campaign with continuing characters etc, given that the 'endgame' in AH looks to be rather lethal.

Of course you could just use miniatures instead of the (admittedly nicely done) cardboard figures. Or, thinking larger a 3D version of the gameboard.......

This game sounds interesting.  Can you post a pic of the game cover and board?

Thanks Knox.  Sounds like an interesting game, though the board looks a bit abstract.  I prefer to play on a Grimm board!! :D

Now imagine Grimm doing a board for Arkham Horror, and you know what I mean! His small boards are ideally suited for the game.

I, like many of you am a huge fan of the lovecraft world but have never had a chance to play Arkham or do any Lovecraft themed miniatures. After finding this forum, I do not think I will have much of a choice!

great work and ideas here, so it will be be hard to resist!

I played this game a number of times an our group really likes it! Please tell me how you would go about converting it to a minis game because it sure sounds interesting!  :D Any ideas?

Arkham Horror is the closest thing to playing CoC roleplaying without having to write an adventure. We play with all of the expansions and are still finding items and things that we haven't seen before.

I would really love miniatures of all of the characters in the game.

It's a great boardgame.

As might have been obvious from the LPL I am working, slowly, on a game board for a Chtulu game. I am currently casting Hirs art plaster masonry and I hope to have an asylum cell prototype put together by the end of the weekend.

I've read that it is suitable from 1-8 players.

Has anyone here tried it solo?

No, it is hard enough to win with 4 players.

Hammer, I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with!  I was very impressed with your painting in the LPL.

the game plays good in solo mode! I've almost only played it in solo mode!

but for me it has a drawback... it takes too long to finish it!

but the overall idea is great!
