Very nice! One question, though. Why are the gun ports circular?

I can't get over the puns, haha. It's almost as fun waiting for the next pun as the next wonderfully realized pirated vessel.

During the period of the Anglo-Dutch Wars, most ships built had round gunports. Square gunports were more a late 18th century type situation.

Wingnut, while I was surfing your site, the radio was playing "15 Men on a Dead Man's chest" and "The Rover". Now THAT'S a nice pair of ........ ditties.

Actually, there's a channel on my radio that plays nothing but buccaneer songs, sailor's hornpipes and sea shanties. I guess it's one of those....... pirate radio stations.
