Title: Some Chinese Warlord Armored Vehicles (Now with Battle Report)
Post by: Operator5 on April 27, 2010, 01:50:21 AM
Okay, I still may add the Warlord star to the vehicles, but here they are, ready to go (and the HMG team for good measure).

And close-ups of the vehicles.

Well, the FT-17 and the Rolls Royce got to see some action tonight. I was introducing a new player and my regular opponent, Joe, was working on getting more familiar with the rules. It was a small 350 point game with the goal of taking and holding the high plateau in the center of the board.

Here we see the Chinese line which consisted of the FT-17, some Chinese Infantry, a Chinese HMG team, a unit of White Russian bodyguards, a Dare to Die unit, and the Rolls Royce AC.

The British had a Rolls Royce AC, a unit of British Regulars upgraded to Marksmen and a unit of Sikhs.

Here the Sikhs advance onto the lower part of the plateau. Yes, the action took place in the Gobi Desert so Joe painted up some "dragon bones" for terrain.

The Chinese player, Mark, used his Rolls to screen his infantry advance from the opposing AC.

Here we see the two armoured cars dueling in the desert.

Finally, a shot of the close combat action between the Sikhs and the Dare to Die infantry.

The game came down to the final die rolls and ended in a draw. The Chinese had no one to take the plateau as vehicles could not hold the objective and the British could not last on top of the hill as the three remaining Chinese HMGs would have cut them down. A slight victory to the British maybe since they did manage to kill the Chinese Warlord.
