Nice work David, I love Dunford  :-*

I can see the Holloywood characters intermixed with the historical minis to give a little charm to the units.

I thought Durnford had a paralyzed left hand, but not a missing left hand.  Who knows more, please?

Col Durnford was stabbed by an assegai in his elbow; severing a nerve thus paralysing his left under-arm and hand for the rest of his life.

Good job painting those up in 5 days.

He is a set on his own, mounted and dismounted. Released at Salute ~ along with four ensigns, and, two 9lb guns and crew, but not on their site as available yet. There were also greens for the historical Rorke's Drift characters.

Durnfords very nice indeed and nice job made of the Bedford cords. Arm was tucked in his jacket after it got damaged at Bushmans Pass as Johnno said, presumably thats why we cant see his hand?

Durnford sewed some sort of system in his sleeve and uniform where you couldn't see his hand.

Do the 9 pdrs use the same crew as the 7 pdrs?  Lovely figs!

Yes and No, is the best answer to that. Some new figs, some adaption of poses, some the same, including sadly the standing about doing nowt pose!
