Title: Hello there!
Post by: Capt. E.W. Brimmage on 02 May 2010, 03:31:07 PM
I'm an Aussie long term Games Workshop player (would be coming up on a decade soon, which is nearly half my life!), and for some time now I have wanted to branch out into other worlds and systems, particularly 'soft' WWWII (with fairly minimal super-tech or occult elements), and I've also taken a fancy to A Very British Civil War (Great Western Railway militia would be good fun). I came across here after seeing a link from the Secrets of the Third Reich forums, a game that I want to take up soon.

Other than the cool design and good vibe of the forum, what really attracted me was the Railway Wargaming subforum. Being a bit of a train nerd I'm looking for ways to integrate railways into my wargaming terrain.

Thanks. I've been trying to figure out how I'd get an operating layout on to a wargaming table. Before seeing Michi's converted British OO scale stuff (http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=13533.0) the best I'd come up with was a grot mine for Warhammer 40k, but after seeing that a German WWII narrow gauge station is a possibility,  though I'd need to find room for a dedicated fixed scenery 8'x4'.
