Title: Giant snake - green anaconda
Post by: Silent Invader on 03 May 2010, 02:29:31 PM
Thought I'd share some close-up shots of the giant snake I made for the final round of the LPL.  It's representative of a green anaconda and was made from a floppy plastic snake as sold in toy shops.

The original snake was much longer and flat on the ground so I cut out the curved bits that I wanted and then reassembled using pins, superglue and greenstuff in a shorter but semi-coiled and raised position onto a base.  I sealed it with superglue before a spray undercoat, then a repaint and varnish.

Don't think I'd want to be in that native's spot. Judging from the lump under its jaw, I'd say it found a nice plump something though.

Bezzo, drink your tea. Drink it. Then off to bed, or deary me.

Sometimes it feels that way, yes.
