Title: Piggybacking Command
Post by: gorillacrab on 07 May 2010, 06:04:22 AM
In a diabolic twist worthy of Fu Manchu himself, the evil Mr. Peabody tonight insisted on "piggybacking" his 2 players with the Command skill. That's right, the Lurker guru nominated one model with Command, who nominated 2 other minions (quite correctly). And yes, one of the other 2 minions had Command - which the evil one insisted allowed him to nominate yet 2 more minions - for a grand total of five models in a single turn - all against the wonderful forces of right.
Of course Uncle Mike will retort that this is totally not allowed - won't he? Won't he?

FWIW my opinion is that your foul nemesis is actually correct (and playing in great lurker style!)

obviously i will stand corrected once mike issues an official ruling, but i can't see anything in the rules to dis-allow it.

regards

jim

Totally correct. You can use multiple figs with Command...if you can afford it. I do it all the time in higher BP games.

Just wait for the next expansion.  I think Mike nominated over 10 models on one turn in one of our test games.  I seem to recall I killed about eight of them with my meat cleaver wielding character, but still: tides of doom!

10 models nominated! Is there no end to the cruel evil that UM plans to unleash on the unsuspecting agents of goodness? Thanks for the clarification.

Meheheheheh!   o_o  My plans grow more sinister by the moment.
Can't wait until Monsieur Gorillacrab has enough BP on his goody-goody list to allow me to field something truly horrific.

The use of multiple Cult Leaders (and hence multiple Command skills) combined with their inexpensive 5 BP cost makes them ideal tools for overwhelming Threshold with hordes of cultists.  They are also useful if the Lurker player wants to move many models at once, split up his force into multiple "squads" (Devil's Hop Yard etc), or capture/hold multiple objectives at once (ie. Retireve the Artifacts).

Bwahahahaha!
