Title: WW2 US figure painting
Post by: Boggler on June 17, 2007, 04:48:45 PM
I'm planning my current painting project which is a US armoured infantry platoon using Artizan figures. They're in winter uniform i.e. greatcoats for late 1944 to early 1945.

I'm building up my references for uniform and equipment colours but was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about paint shades and colours.

I'm using Foundry, GW and Coat d'arms paints.

Thanks for your help.

I quite like GWs Catachan Green for helmets, other than the GW Gunmetal that's that only colour from those ranges I've used on my American.

I've recently finished painting some GIs...

I've used Vallejo Pains: Burnt Umber for the trousers, Dark fleshtone for the boots. Desert yellow or yellow olive for the jackets and kakhi for the webbing... I'll try to post pics soon...

The following link will take you to a spanish forum, but the pics in the topic I sent you speak for themselves...  8)
