It's been a while since I've done any detailed terrain stuff... So, here's my latest effort! It's a small tower really, but compared to most of the tiny, circumstantial terrain most people use for their historical/fantasy games, it's giant :) See the whole gallery here:

Here's some pics:

'STRUTH!!! Well done! That's massively impressive!
Now you just need to add curtain towers and outbuildings and a moat... :^)

Great work, I love the interiors.

I quite like the details on the inside, very cool.

Very nice and useful model. Practical, lift off roof; lots of gaming space both inside and on top of your model. You should really enjoy that terrain piece. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice. The more skirmishy a game the closer in scale your buildings and figures can be. This would be a very nice piece in a detailed small siege. I'm guessing pink not blue insulation foam?

Nice to have you back, Neldoreth.

Woaw! Love those vikings! :o

Can't beat a good tower for a fantasy skirmish game and that's as good as they come. The interior detailing is superb too.

Fort-tastic! :D
How to please! :P
Thantsants is right, it's a tower-rific building!
How long did it take to build?
-
As to the questions of how to built it, and how long it took, it was actually pretty easy... I didn't really use any new techniques on this one, except for the hoarding perhaps. It took about a month to build from start to finish, but that time was shared with other painting projects and terrain projects. I think that if I had dedicated myself to it, it could have taken about a week or two to being together.
As for a how-to, I plan to throw an article together soon. I will post here when I do!
Thanks again,
n.
