Title: Chain gang or convict figures
Post by: starkadder on 20 May 2010, 10:45:27 AM
Does anyone know of a a Pulp period chain gang set of convicts?

The full striped uniform "I was a fugitive from a chain-gang" thing.

Escapees are fine.

Thank you, Archangel. Well done.

That's one more scenario under development. Heh Heh.

I would have posted that link, but archangel beat me to it - I really need such prisoners/slave labourers for a WWWII work camp I'm planning to use in several scenarios.

It is, of course, the front end of a much more sinister installment....   ::)

You're a gentleman and a squalor, Matt.

I love it when a plan comes together. Where have I heard that before?

D&D Miniatures has a prisoner figure, basically a generic human in wrist shackles.

for my own, i used some conversion with the ACW Redoubt ent from their Enginers/pontoonner range
Ref ACX 27 engineer set (available without the pontoon) see the pic for them at ACX22
http://www.redoubtenterprises.com/shop/?page=shop/browse&category_id=c134f6f75926c55ef4ba59d69dc2050b (http://www.redoubtenterprises.com/shop/?page=shop/browse&category_id=c134f6f75926c55ef4ba59d69dc2050b)
they come in shirt and relax fatigue dress so easily convert into prisonner at work.
No close pic from Redoubt, but i'll show mine as soon as it's possible. I had some artillery crew in shirt and the job is done ! The paint job i mean ! I add a chain and an iron ball to the foot of each prisonner.

the shovel are from Redoubt.
The sledgehammer is home made.
In the last picture, the 4 front figurines are coming from the Redoubt ACW 's engineer set. The 3 in the background are from an ACW artillery crew in shirt from Redoubt provide with bare heads.

hope to be useful for your project

Very nicely done, Nervisfr. Congratulations.

My scenario is mapping out nicely. I want to use a number of different sources.

Pity they don't do a Tony Curtis and a Sidney Poitier "Defiant Ones" double pack. :D

thanks !
For Tony and sydney, it's be done easily with the good head variants from Redoubt.
the chain and et ball sets are not yet fit on my figurines feet. I have too much work at the moment for finishing my chain gang.
I have some guard on duty made from Redoubt ACW infantrymen in coat. Looks better as jail/penantiary guards
