At the risk of sounding like a broken record... I recommend the (nominally) 1/72 Italeri range of buildings, in particular the Country House with Porch and and the massive Church. The Country house has nicely thick walls, a well sculpted pantiled roof and really looks the biz. It also works well with 28mm figures and conversion potential is great. I even bought up a couple of the plain Country House models (which are somewhat less useful for Spain or Latin America) just to use as a source of parts. Cheap as chips.

The church is a really impressive bit of kit. Mine's still in the box and it will get a roof swap and probably a little plastering at some point but by god it's big. No way I would afford something like this from one of the dedicated resin manufacturers.

Carlos,

do you happen to have photos with 28mm miniatures for reference? Maybe you can take one with just a wall section for reference?

I assume you mean this church:

Not off hand but this chap does: http://www.fusiliers.net/wargaming30.htm

And yes that's the church, I'm talking about. I'm going to re-roof mine with off the shelf sheet of plastic pantiles.

That's not so shabby. If you get that church erected I am rather keen to see a similar comparison shot.

Grand Manner is here...  www.grandmanner.co.uk/shop/prodtype.asp?PT_ID=73&strPageHistory=cat
But you want to order soon, as they have a shipping deal going on right now, as well as a price increase next week....
Grand Manner is the Tiffany's of terrain.  :o :-* :o
IMO...

I dunno about those Italaeri ones...  They look a touch small.  So you may not want to mix and match with other companies...

Arnica Real Estate have some that will work.

Can't find their buildings, either....

While the adobe buildings are great for outback Mexico/Texas/Arizona, small fishing communities, and that kind of stuff, what I'm after is the 'mainland Spain' type of buildings that marks the early colonization of islands and main ports on the Latin American mainland.

Some nice possibilities already.

Is the Grand Manner expensive?  Kinda high.
But you pay for what you get.  It really is the nicest terrain out there.  :)

Well safe to say I can build a small village for the price of of their middling to larger buildings and that's not including postage. Nice but a little rich for my blood, I have children to feed.

Miniature Building Authority has Spanish buildings being released this year.  If you go to their website and click on the text for the catalog PDF, you'll see them.  About 4 pages in, I think.  They aren't on the website proper just yet.

The new MBA ones do look quite nice.  I also like the Empress and Brigade Games buildings - but in practice I find I am slow about assembling and painting resin buildings, which makes the nice pre-painted ones more tempting.

I'd just wish they were available unpainted - I'd rather pay a bit less and paint them myself than pay them to paint them...  :?

Miniature Building Authority recently came out with some Spanish Building for Pirate games.  There is a Governor's Mansion, A Custom House and two others that might be storage sheds, that I have seen so far.  They are quite nice.

Have anyone seen "The Little Green Man" range in the flesh?

Good Question.

I have not but it seems from the pictures that the range is highly oriented towards the upper class/high end/larger  buildings.  I really need (right now) more peon oriented buildings other wise I'd be tempted to buy one to see.  My needs right now are more Northern Mexico Town then Spainish city.  I may be wrong but what's what struck me when I visited the site.  Anywhere the dimensions are listed?

Gracias,

Glenn

Just bought a resin building from Games of War's new Pirate range.I bought the basic one this week and will be getting one of the others next week.

Very nice and clean casting. It has seperate window's and a door. This makes painting it much easier as you can paint them up then pop them in.Saves on touching up the rest of the building.

They dont have them up on the web site just yet. Will try to pester alan next week to get pictures posted.

The games of war buildings are for 28mm miniatures.

I will try to get some pictures sorted.

The buildings are modular and can be used in a variety of ways.Alan is working on more pieces to expand the line and give different configurations.

Thanks for the photos!

Bought another one today. The one in the third picture. The one in the first picture I got last week(still not painted  :o).

Alan hopes to have them in the web shop this weekend.

He has also mentioned doing some larger buildings.
