Title: Faerie princess
Post by: oxiana on 26 May 2010, 02:44:39 PM
Another Foundry elf, rescued from the dust of Malamute's loft to be given a good home...

This is my first attempt at basing with Silflor flowers, in part inspired by Regulator's brilliant Landsknecht bases. They're very fiddly to work with, so more practice is needed, but I do like the effect when they're up against a bright paint job.

Very Nice! (if perhaps a bit "Christmas-y" ;)).

Cracking. The flowers work really really well with this kind of mini.

I like it. Nice job Paul.
I've always liked this range of minis - although I have no conceivable use for them!

Read "Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrel". I think you'd enjoy it and would give you a few ideas.

:o You've read my mind! This has been on my list forever, and I finally got a copy last week...

Very much looking forward to reading it - glad to know it gets good reviews.  ;)

Those flowers look great - never thought I'd ever say that in a wargaming context!  lol

Lovely stuff, I've been thinking of getting a few, making their dresses more georgian and turning them into Flintloque minis... :)

Very lovely. very well painted.
She may be used as an Amazon Enchantress in a Fantasy Warriors game, with a scenario  of the seventeenth and-or eighteenth century.

Great PJ and I like the colour choice.

On the subject of what to do with them I liked the idea from the Frothers showcases of using this line as either Vampires for gothic horror or fantasy Dark Elves.

Cool figure, and a very nice paint job. I can imagine one or two good uses for it.

Where is this mini on Foundry's site? I couldn't find it.

*edit* Oop, never mind: found it.

Excellent book - very bizarre and imaginitive and very easy to read. I really enjoyed it.

Lovely brushwork on the figure, by the way  :-*

I love the design of her dress  lol
