I have just posted numerous pictures and a battle report of my T&T game at Partizan, 'The Battle of the Dembeguina Pass' (Italian Invasion of Ethiopia, December 15th 1935) at:

A wonderful game, scenario and report. Again very inspiring.
I like your collections and I am looking forward to your next game!
A small question:
I have not recognised both commanders are they conversions or ...
-
Agreed! That's a great looking game. Looks like a fun scenario too.

Now this is why posting the same topic on multiple boards is not such a good idea. James has already answered this question on one of the two other threads he posted this report on.

Neither commander is a conversion, just models picked from non-1935 ranges. Major Criniti is from the Empress SCW range (a Nationalist cavalry officer with a different paint job), Fitaurari Shifferaw is from Castaway Arts' Colonial Abyssinians range.

Wow, quite a wargames extravaganza.

Superb, well done. Sorry I missed it

Thanks both!!!
Never seen a castaway arts figure in flesh!
Damn recession, I cannot start my new era!

Great, shame I only glimpsed it in passing - never have the wife waiting outside when you visit shows.

I'll make a note of that. :)

I really like your work on the Abynissian conflict, James :)
Highly inspiring and always top-notch when it comes to finish.
-
James, your game board deserves a mention by itself. Every time I look at it, it is like I feel the heat of the Abyssinian sun vibrating over it.
-
Hi James,
Really nice work on the board, miniatures and conversions, well done.
Are you using a number of Castaway Art natives to supplement the Empress range?
Keep up the great work.

Must admit the Italian-Abyssinian conflict doesn't grab me, but that is a great looking tabletop. The kind of quality standard and visual impact all display games should be aiming for.
Nice one James :)

Thank you Captain - praise indeed! (I was just admiring your WotR work on another forum, and am trying very hard to stay focused on Africa... :)) I personally think it's really important to make an effort with terrain, especially in the 'post-khaki period' where models in uniform can be a bit drab to look at.

Thanks Helen. Yes, you are correct, a number of Castaway Arts models have found their way into my army. Upon reflection, the Ethiopian army has been sourced from figure manufacturers on three different continents...sadly Africa isn't one of them (but I did base several models on Ethiopian coins to make up for it!) ;)
