A couple of "units" for Fantasy Rules! army made from spare bits of Tryanids sprues.

Great idea - nice and gribbly!
They'll look good painted up - how are you going to do the freshly turned soil where they've burst out of the ground?

Here's the progress on ground breaking open around the burrower:

Interesting stuff! :)

Looking great - as you say the soil might want to be darkened with a nice rich loamy ink wash!
Unless of course your monster prefers a more sandy, limestone based soil... :D

I haven't played FR! for years. I'll have to dig my rules out and have another go. Great fun and easy to learn.
Thanks for posting and that's a great idea for a FR army :D

What a superb idea, they look excellent.

Here's the finished shots, though I am touching up a bit of the back edge after looking at the pictures.

And there you have The Burrower. Large Monster move 10/6 Combat factor 8 and Rally Roll 7+

They look great, Alfrik! Now I want to make something similar myself. Always liked models emerging from their bases when done right - and these are very well done! =)

This is a great idea, which was superbly executed.
