Great work. I like the Ogres and the Tunnel Fighters best. Is that mech with the Judge Grymns a "Walker Machine Xabungle" kit? I've never seen one of those assembled, so two thumbs up for that alone.

Yep...it's a 1/144 scale Crab Type.  I have a couple of Trad11 types in the same scale that will eventually get assembled and painted too.

Welcome Inso lovely figures. Have you shown Kev the snipers as one of those would be ideal for his character when he plays the BFBC2 PC game lol

The tunnel fighters have Pig Iron 'Kolony Inner Guard' helmets.

I always post any Grymn stuff over at the FoD so Kev will have seen the snipers...I'm sure he could easily replicate the conversion in moments.

The judges happened as a result of someone posting pics of unconverted Grymn in a Judge Dredd paint scheme...I just thought they would look cool.

Glad you like them :) .

Really nice stuff. I like the Tunnelfighters best.

Where's that air support flyer from?

The flier is something Antenociti's Workshop made for Hasslefree.  Kev still has to make undercarriage for it before selling it (if he ever decides to) but he sent a few out to see what the response would be.  I added undercarriage, a nose cannon and some big speakers to mine to act as an 'Apocalypse Now' styled 'music playing leader'...I await the release of the model from HF with baited breath...

...I'm not sure whether it will get released or not though...

Tunnel fighters?...I've just finished these for the tunnel fighters:

Can't help but love the Grimm miniatures.   :-* :-*

Very nicely painted here!  Thanks for the photos.

Actually, IMO, these are the kind of mini's you really have to hold in your hand to appreciate.  Once you "see them in the flesh" all will power crumbles.

Looking forward to more pics!

Thanks!

Seeing as you asked so nicely ;) ...

I have been trying for an hour to take a decent army pic for my Grymn tunnel fighters and this is the best I can come up with...and even then it is a case of choosing which one you like the best out of a bad bunch :( :

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d161/Inso/Grymn/Grymn%20Tunnel%20Fighters/GTFArmy1.jpg

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d161/Inso/Grymn/Grymn%20Tunnel%20Fighters/GTFArmy2.jpg

They are links because they are big pix :).

Looking at them, you have the close combat stuff on the right (3 squads of 10), The infantry in the middle (3 squads of 10), the support elements on the left (2 squads of 3 Clankers and a squad of 3 scouts with Tooth-doggies) and the command squad across the front.

I think this small army is expanding nicely :D .  I am planning another 4 infantry squads and some transport vehicles for them all.  Once that is done, maybe some tank-hunters and extra command units...then, who knows?

I have to agree with that.  I normally don't like dwarves and I really was not into the idea of the Grymn.  I bought a couple just see them in person.  Now I have almost all of them.  They really are great miniatures.

I agree, until you actually own Grymn it is difficult to estimate the fanatical hold they will have over you :) !

Some Mystic Children all doled up in fancy face-paint:

Diver:

Cavalry:

Inquisitor:

Flamer:

If you fancy losing a few minutes, here's a link to my gallery...Lots of stuff there ;).

If anyone spots anything unusual that they don't know about (in the gallery ;) ), then let me know and I'll share the info :).

All wonderful PJ's.  The Mech is very thematically appropriate, it looks like something a race of squatty people would build.  Just perfect.  I think the tunnel fighters are the best.  Who makes the APC?
Title: Re: Inso's Grymn introduction...
Post by: Inso on 17 June 2010, 02:36:39 PM
The APC?  Is that the green one with the red stripe?  If it is, then it is from here:

http://www.oldcrowmodels.co.uk/25vehicles.htm

Specifically, this one:

http://www.oldcrowmodels.co.uk/25trojan.htm

With a mini turret from here:

http://www.oldcrowmodels.co.uk/25mm/turret/miniturl.gif

If it isn't, then it is likely to be a Glaive from Old Crow.
