I had some left over carpet padding and made some very simple transport boxes for my ironclads. They seem to work very well.

Very interesting, and a clever use of surplus materials. However, I thought that the type of padding you are using is slightly tacky to prevent slipping. Is that the case?

It does have a bit of a grip given the surface structure. There's no residue but I'm not sure how it will effect painted surfaces over the long run
