Title: Masai and general African spears?
Post by: ErikB on 17 June 2010, 05:51:16 PM
Anyone know the cheapest, best source of these, preferably in the USA?

Thanks!

(I have Foundry Masais and Copplestone Ngonis who need spears).

I assume You mean 28mm scale?

Foundry used to have some equipment packs
if You are gaming 19th C You could use any kind of spears with oversized blades and paint them accordingly or cut them to shape for Ngoni
Perry have Japanese large bladed steel spears that could do the trick.
cut to the according size and with a wrap of thin tape for the wooden shaft

Yes, 28mm.  Sorry.

Does Foundry still make those?  I keep hearing that they aren't what they used to be in terms of stock and sales.  Are they still operating at full speed?

I need ten (10), ideally two generic spears and 8 Masai weapons but I'm happy with any mix, including knobkerries if they're interesting ones (something I couldn't make easily).

Which country are you in, former user?  That name looks Welsh to my uncultured (well, only German/Austrian-cultured) American eyes.
