Lovely Report Poly  :)

The dice must have been going badly against the French :)

Very nice yet again. I like how it looks like the French are surrendering in the second picture above  :)

That's a nice one. I really like the white flags. Do you use other flags for fall back & rout or just more white flags?

One for "Suppressed", two for "Fall Back", three for" Rout."

Basically just replacements for the coloured counters the game rules say to use. I didn't have any coloured counters but I already had the white flags as morale markers from another game. I think they look a bit better than counters anyway. I kind of like the white flags. Casualty figures would be the ideal thing for me, and I use them when I have them, but sometimes you can't always get what you need in that line, and so I use the flags then.

The little cotton wool smoke puffs are to mark which units have had their go that turn. They used to be Darkest Africa reload markers. Don't see the point of making new stuff when you've already got things that'll do the job.

A lovely read. It was a while since we had such panache in my gaming group.

Another great gaming report Plynkes.
I've just about done 10 of my Germans.I'll try and get them posted so you can let me know what you think. They are a lot 'bluer' than I'd originally planned but I quite like them now. :)

I bought the Price of Glory rules so I think I'll have a go at a small skirmish action. How long did the game take by the way?

Do you know, I have absolutely no idea. When gaming I tend to lose all track of time. I can say that it was a much shorter game than we would normally play, due to the small scale of it and the fact that the bayonet charge pretty much obliterated all French resistance with several turns still left to play.

Two hours, maybe? Certainly no more, possibly a lot less.

Enjoyable reading. Poor old Frenchies, I have soft spot for them, (it must be the colourful uniforms.)

Nice report. I love this period.

I used to have many unpainted Early War French from Renegade, but after a year or two I sold them to Poulppy, which was wise : he has painted many of them, and Germans too, and I hope we start playing soon  :mrgreen :

AS : your report is really nice. the pictures are great and I like the minis.
Nice Job.

I paint all the germans and a lot of french.
This period of the WWI is the most playable for me. the trench war has less interest.

well i will prepare something for this friday ;)
