can anyone give me a way to dissolve the super glue.
because my son has made a big, big, big Stupidity ... >:( >:( >:( :'( I changed him against miniatures lol lol lol

If it's a metal figure, you can use nail varnish remover to loosen it up. If it's large pieces they can probably be broken off fairly well as chunks once some remover has been applied. Nail varnish remover can also be used on plastics but you need to be careful and use it sparingly.

Nail Polish Remover :)
-
Or plain acetone, if you want the same effect ten times cheaper without the rosy aroma...

True, but nail varnish remover is more convenient as my wife already has some :)

It is not some metal, but some resin
thank you

Do you know what type? If it's polyester resin then acetone will work fine. It'll also work on most polyeurethane resins (such as that used by Forge World), I'd suggest testing it on a spare piece first though to check it won't damage the resin.

Impostor! If you were the real Chuck Norris no adhesive could hold you! :D

Thank you for all your advice, the problem is settled.
I sold my son and I bought a new model
No I pleasant I am again going to guard him little lol lol

I have some Unglue stuff for Super Glur just for those moments when accidents happen..

I've had good luck putting figures in a thermos with a sliver of dry ice and leaving the thermos in the freezer for a couple of hours. Cryolate glues then usually cleanly snap off and sometimes without even damaging the paint job underneath.

Where do you get dry ice from?
-
Chemical suppliers and possibly theatrical suppliers would carry dry ice. I know where to get it where I live, but I don't think that helps in the UK.

Here's how to make it:

I don't know whether the hydrochloric acid is easier to obtain than off-the-shelf dry ice but in case you envision needing a lot the tutorial may be useful.

Much, much easier and probably safer to buy a small CO2 fire extinguisher, let it off into a heavy bag of some sort (wear oven mits), and hey presto solid dry ice!

I can always appreciate a conversation which continues after a short 15 year break like nothing happened. Balances the six second attention span world of popular social media platforms out there. :D
-
15 years? well, it sometimes takes me that long to finish a sentence (depending on the offense, of course). OK, I'll admit I hadn't actually noticed how old the thread was when I posted my comment and am not quite sure how it came to my attention. I assume I must have spotted it in Related Topics. Or perhaps I had a Rip van Winkel moment.

2010 wasn't 15 years ago what are you talking ab... oh god o_o

That was totally hilarious. 2 Howard Wolowitz? ratings level of fun.

I blame it on the subject heading. Immediately on seeing it I was inexorably lured into big, big, big Stupidity. Thankfully for my self-esteem I was not alone.

They sell dry ice at Publix. Big signs "Do not touch!" Sooooo I touch it. It hurts!

Dammit I didn't notice the zombie resurrection of this old topic either, my bad, I was just stunned by the apparent disregard for anything like common sense ;) lol
