a big red x?
sorry, the picture isn't showing up for me
-
Rafm doesn't like you linking to their pics.
-
Rats. Well, it's a rather nice three-wheeled steam tank. I guess you have to sign up for their forum to see it.
-
Here you go.

Cheers Servitor. I rather like the little 2 wheeled one
-
Gaw. Thats nice. Are they selling that Ironmongery?

I believe it's the same tank just shown from a different angle. The markings on the stack and boiler certainly match.
-
That's a nifty tank; certainly different from the usual. I wonder if those striations on the casting are going to carry over into production castings though?
-
I believe those are prints in two different scales.
-
I'm sure I can find a use for one or two of these :)
-
that should be found on their space 1889 section?
-
looks like two photos shopped together. if you look at the lines on the ?carpet? below the tank, the second smaller tank is out of sync with the firs tank lines. Looks good tho
-
I'll be picking one up, depending on price. Nice looking machine.
-
Nice to see RAFM bringing out some new models and jumping into VSF.

-
I like the shape.
What size is it though?
Any chance of a pic against a 28mm figure?
-
the "sponsons" look rather like hull enlargements to accomodate the gear.
From a technical püoint of View it does make sense
what appears difficult is the firing slit under the drivers' vision slit - however there were a lot of interwar tanks that were designed without operating crew in mind :D
-
I could not find it on their webpage. Can you please tell me where it is? Thank you.

I don't think it's released yet. That photo is from their members forum.

I finally finished molding all the parts and put one together to show you guys. We will be putting up a notice on our web page at rafm.com soon about a pre-order. Since the hull is outsourced (not produced by us) it would be nice to get some numbers in advance.

-
Very nice! Do you have an estimate on price yet?
-
We are looking at 15 to 16 dollars each. We don't have much to compare with it and this is our first package that will be using resin bought from another supplier. I was a little surprised by the price for it myself as most people say resin is cheep.
-
I'll be ordering a couple of these but I might stick a bigger piece of ordnance on the front ;).
-
Any chance of a picture with a figure for scale?
-

One word.... Yummy!
Really these are great and really capture the essence of VSF vehicles i.e. a big vehicle to move a small gun!
This will also go with the ironclad stuff as well.
When are they going to be available?
cheers
Fuzzy. :D

The price is reasonable!
-
Sign me up for a couple.
-
I would want one or two of them myself, I don't think the price is unreasonable either.

Resin is, the rubber though isn't and you use a lot more rubber with resin casting than metal etc. Also depends on the type of resin.
-
I'll certainly buy a couple, I think it's perfect for VSF.
-
I guess they'd better bring a pile of them to Hotlead! :^)

It's going to be added to a growing list of RAFM products that I need to order!
-
The tank is now available for pre order at http://www.rafm.com (http://www.rafm.com)
Since we are having the hull cast in resin numbers will be limited.
-
An update on the delivery date. We are expecting to have the resin hulls in house around the 20th of September.
-
Well the resin parts were a little late but have arrived!

We at RAFM would like to inform all her majesties loyal subjects that this first edition to the Ares Rising line of VSF vehicles and figures is now ready to ship out.

Figures! Figures! Tell us more noble Sir.
Will they scale with the perfectly sized foundry, ironclad et al or be more in line with the diminuative 1889 range?

They're not diminuative! They lack glandular deficiency caused chimeric gigantism! lol
Have both, play with both, agree oft best not on the same table. That said, I think, should the images not be amiss, the Ironclad scaled better with the 1889 figs than I suspect it will with Foundry figs. I thought a tight fit for one of the Brits shown, actually.
Awaiting reviews! Breath bated!

I think any new miniatures will be closer to 28mm solely based on the premise that sculptors can no longer match 25mm scale. ;)
Without any foundry miniatures so can't comment on their size.
-
Ok, now I ordered two, these will go with my Russian VSF forces.
-
Mine came today! Nice nice looking machine. The resin needs a little work, but not much. Might have to put on a bigger gun.
-
Mine also came today, but because I was not home I have to pick them up at the post office tommorrow... the funny thing is, that I was not home because I was at the post office picking up another package... d'oh...
-
Wow..Canada post must be strapping rockets onto the packages.
Glad to see it is over there so fast Jonas.
-
Going to paint them blue like the rest of your Dutch steam clanks?
Your cloggies do need some heavier firepower if they're going to face Sterling's Tsarist Hordes of Doom! :D

It turned out to be something else, but I guess the package will be here soon, the Canadian post is usually pretty fast to Denmark

Ah, there you have me. By the time I get all my stuff painted the vehicles will be obsolete..........oh wait. lol
-
I assemble and paint vehicles too. :D

Good to know, but don't you have a lead backlog at the moment :D
-
Has nobody got any of them assembled, painted and photographed yet?
Bunch of slackers!

-
Yes I do, but it pays to keep on the look out for future biz. :)
