Title: SADF stuff

Supposed to represent a 'modular' infantry unit such as those deployed during the Border War.

HQ unit and transport

Support units (HMG and Mortar) and transport

Ystervark AA vehicle (conversion)

Infantry unit (1 of 4) and transport

Couple of caveats - I have tried to use up figures that I already have and minimised the expenditure on this build. As such, there are some errroneous figures (some M16 and AK armed) among the SADF troopies. I painted them after a bottle of wine and another ODI victory over the Aussies and as such didnt check my reference material hence the wooden furniture on the FN/R1 rifles (should be black).

Have used Peter Pig Bulldogs instead of the QRF buffels for 2 reasons. 1 ) I got them cheap and 2) as nice as the QRF model is, these are so much easier to put together and handle for gaming

I have a variety dependent on what I am trying to do. B'Maso from the Too Fat Lardies is very good, Ambush Alley/Force on Force also will get used a lot. Have FNG/CR3 from Two Hour Wargames for smaller encounters and I might even use Rapid Fire for some of the larger engaements

Any chance they can get a troop of Centurion tanks in support? I've always liked the Centurion tank. It's a dead sexy beast.

I think the chance to model Centurion tanks is the only reason I'm ever tempted to do either SADF or IDF. :D
