...and bought the first three VBCW books.
I've been curious about the setting since hearing about it last year, but never really considered buying them (mostly because I'm not sure my group is that interested), but after watching Britain's Nazi King on the History channel last night I finally broke down and pulled out the plastic.
So, two questions from the uninitiated -
If I ever get round to playing a game and collecting some forces, I want to keep it local - What sort of stuff is going on in an around the Coventry/Warwickshire area (I know the second sourcebook will tell me this, but i'm an impatient so-and-so ;D)
And that leads to me to the second question - what rulesets would be worth checking out? Has one set become the accepted 'norm'?
Thanks for any help, Gents.

If you go by the sourcebooks, the area immediately in and around Birmingham is socialist-ish. I don't recall Coventry being covered as yet, but its industrial areas would be desirable to many. I recommend you sign up to the Gentleman's Wargames Parlour (http://gwargamesp.18.forumer.com/index.php?http://gwargamesp.18.forumer.com/), which has a very active VBCW forum. You'll come across many folk from here along with some of the guys who contribute to the source books. They are friendly, welcoming and very supportive of new ideas.
You are of course still welcome to post here too. :)

As far as rulesets go our local group in Brighton uses modified Warhammer The Great War and for skirmish games we probably will be using legends of the old west, again slightly modified for the benefit of VBCW game.
