Title: Horse Corral
Post by: Malamute on 08 July 2010, 01:12:03 PM
Just finished this small addition to San Antonio De Bejar.

A corral for horses or in this case cattle, being inspected by Don Alejandro De La Vega:
(Steers from Dixon Miniatures.)

Its made from the usual MDF base, kebab skewers, sand and grit mix and grass tufts.

Don Diego De La Vega, sculpted by Malamute and painted by Camp Dave.
Apologies for the slightly blurred image, I was rushing to get these finished and photographed before dashing off on holidays.

Wonderful.  The loft must now be groaning under the weight of your township.   :D

Very nice sculpting and painting too ..... your talents are myriad!  8)

Thank you, although I can't take the credit for the paint job on the steers and Don Alejandro, they are the work of my good friend Dave.

I think both you and Dave have done great work!

The muted tones and color combinations used make for a convincing weathered wood. Any chance you'd share those colors? :D

The wood is only two colours; acrylic burnt umber straight from the tube watered down a bit and then drybrushed with GW Bleached Bone.
