I've just finished painting up my figures for Pig Tickler, a game of Victorian lancers on unicycles chasing a steam powered pig.

The figs look great. Are there any quirky games you don't play? :D

First, beautiful paintjobs!
You inspired me so much, I pulled out my copy of Pig Tickler!
The first thing I noticed with the figures, was the unicycle posts are very "bendy". Did you do anything to stengthen them or are you just going to be very careful?
BTW, much to my surprise/horror, I bought 26 of these things. I may have to come up with rules for full 10 man teams of Uni's.

26?
WHY!?
There's rules for Team Pig Tickler on my site so you could use some of them for that I suppose.
I find the unicycles are ok. The lances are bendy and too much effort to replace because of the way the hands are sculpted. If they ever break I'll replace them with brass ones. Open handed lancers would be a much better option.
We played a couple of games this Sunday and it was fun. Nothing too long-term to it but it makes a reasonable filler game.

WHY!?
Temporary madness. I vaguely recall wanting one of each "type". Of which there's about 5-6 different types (IIRC). That still doesn't explain the number of repeats I have. I bought them a couple of years ago when the exchange rate was very favourable. So I remember thinking they were very cheap (which also may have factored into it).

I think I'm gonna need rules for bigger teams. Much bigger teams.

That was pretty much my thought too. The uni's they are riding are giraffes, and giraffes have bicycle gears. It would have been nice to see some of those as well, just to give the unicycles and little more umpf. (Although then you'd need to ask why the bicycle lancers aren't riding safety bikes).
I'd hate to steal business from Nick at Eureka, but if anybody is dying to paint some of these (but aren't willing to order from Eureka), drop me a line and I'll send you a couple. I'll never paint 26 of them.
