Hello all,
I purchased a load of the Eureka NBC suited Russians a while ago and have been pondering what do to with them since, they are prep-ed and ready to paint but I am having problems finding good source material for what colour to paint the suits. Most of the pictures I have found as in B&W and the few that are not only show grey suits.
Can anyone comment on whether these NBC suits only came in light grey or if they were they ever available in other colours or even in camo patterns?
Any nice pictures would be greatly appreciated as I seem to have not found very many online.
Cheers

Don't quote me on this, but I do remember some depictions of those suits in a brown tone somewhere... :?
++EDIT++ You had me there, so I ran off to the garage to dig out my box of old model kit catalogues. I found what I was looking for almost immediately in a very old and beat up Airfix catalogue from the early eighties or even late seventies. It has an illustration (drawing/painting) of said troopers in 1/72, wearing a reddish brown suit. Hope that helps. I remember something similar in a Dragon/Italeri catalogue (mid nineties). Maybe I can trace that one too...

The Osprey on Afghanistan depicts it in a light khaki colour, which tallies with photos I've seen of the masks. Of course if you want real variety in colour and trim, you can always search for what's available to the average German rubber fetishist. A google search of of the words gummi and fetisch will provide you with infinitely more range and enough creepiness to last a lifetime. :o

Thank you all for your inputs on this, I now have some ideas of what was availalbe and used which is a god send as I was not too keen on the generic light grey that seemed to be the default.
I suspect I will have a trawl throught the 93 pages of the thread mentioned before I risk googling gummi, I do not want to see something that will either make me go blind or want to put out my eyes ;)
