Hi all. I have been an impressed viewer of this site for some time now. I thought I might wait until I had something worth posting before registering. So, here goes.
The group I regularly game with meet at the German Club in Melbourne. Most of us have been building BoB armies for years now, without really settling on any set of rules. We recently played an attack on a Bolshevik held railway station by the armies of a couple of desperate Chinese warlords. The rules were the Warhammer Great War, using some homemade army lists. The game is a little less 'heroic' than I would probably like, however, they rattle along at a reasonable pace.

The table at the start of the game. Half the Chinese forces enter from one table edge. The other half are held in reserve to come on any of the other table edges.
(http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s279/jaredlynn/09attackstarts.jpg) The Warlord armies were worryingly large. With a number of units held in reserve, I did'nt think I might have the firepower to hold them off.

The train station was strongly defended.

Would there be enough rifles to hold back the horde?

Things looked grim as some of the heavier reserves arrived...

Very nice looking set-up. Can't wait to hear how the rest of the game turned out.

Great looking game, terrifc scenery and figures ;D
You might want to look at the Triumph and Tragedy board featured elsewhere on this forum.
It's a great set of rules perfect for BOB. If you are looking for something where you can add heroic characters alongside the usual troop types its well worth checking out.

nice layout
maybe You have some more close-ups?

I am also looking forward to the rest of the photos.

Thanks for your interest guys. Malamute, I have just got my hands on the T&T rulebook. I will try them out with a mate sometime soon.
Back to the game. I left off with hordes of Chinese and bandit troops bearing down on my defences of the train station and town.
(http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s279/jaredlynn/11Chinesecommand.jpg) Here are men of the Warlord Wu Pei Fu.
The defence was made all the more difficult by the arrival of some scary looking reserves, including two armoured cars and a truck full of...
(http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s279/jaredlynn/13sailorsvsgermans.jpg) German mercenaries! The armoured cars did very little damage as they arrived but the mercenaries proceeded to carve up a platoon of sailors (damn smg's).
(http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s279/jaredlynn/14chinesecav.jpg) Warlord cavalry heading straight towards the heart of the town.
(http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s279/jaredlynn/15firstwave.jpg) The first wave of attackers hits the walls...
(http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s279/jaredlynn/18aftermath.jpg) ...and is repelled!
-
(http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s279/jaredlynn/19deadbrits.jpg) My highlight of the game was a truck, full of British Mercenaries, hit by rifle fire as it crossed a bridge heading for the town. As it crashed into the river the few survivors headed for the hills.
(http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s279/jaredlynn/20stationassault.jpg) Unfortunately for the brave defenders of the proletariat, the numbers of their opponents started to tell against them. First to fall was the station...
(http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s279/jaredlynn/21cavassault.jpg) ...followed by the town itself.
(http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s279/jaredlynn/22chinesestation.jpg) As the dust settled all that remained was for the victors to share the spoils and mete out punishment to those deemed lacking in enthusiasm. I had to include this shot as the miniatures are so great.
Cheers,
Jared

Trememdous game. After seeing the latest pics I must say how much I really like your buildings and terrain, the station is terrifc. :-*
You have wetted my appetite for a period I have not as yet been that interested in. :D

Looking good indeed. I second the request for more close-ups of figures and scenery.
