Title: Border Reivers buildings suggestions
Post by: Poiter50 on 23 July 2010, 07:22:09 AM
OK, this is a follow up to my request on the article published on Border Reivers.

I have picked up a number of figures for use as foot and mounted, 3 sets of rules and some PMC Games buildings plus dug out an amount of livestock that was lurking in the accumulator, funny how they multiply when you check out the lead mountain pile/s! Now I am looking for suggestions for 15th to 17th Century Border Reiver agricultural type buildings, both farm style as sheds (have a barn & cattle shed) and residences such as crofters cottages. I was thinking Celtic style but most of them appear to be round and my perception is that they would be rectangular. Any suggestions for 25/28 mm buildings?

Interesting that in collecting a Border Reiver force, I seem to have started an ECW Scots army! At this stage I can probably field about 1500 points of Scots Government forces.  lol

I can also run a pack of hounds that look extremely mean.

Have a look at Grand Manner. I think from memory they have suitable buildings.

If I get time over the weekend to glue the horse back on their bases, I will piccie the dragoons and horse and try a post. The Ebob link is great, hadn't thought of him although I do have his Stalag stuff.

What no Picts or links?

Thanks to all. I think Ebob will be getting some of my business as they are better priced including postage. Grand manner is very nice but very exxy right from the start.

Just had some livestock arrive via Ebay, now to get mobile and do some work.

Yea....  Grand Manner is pricey -- but you do get what you pay for!

They are the "Tiffany's of Terrain" ...

Best stuff out there.
