Part of a commission I am working through at present. The client will be basing them and also came up with the colour scheme for the bad guys. I was so tempted to paint the word "BOMB" on the one but resisted ;D

Went with a crazy experiment on the silk smoking jacket, not totally convinced about it but reasonably happy - certainly a bit different.
Ironclad & Design 28, now onto a LOT of Westwind
cheers Svennnn

Lovely. I particularly like the Henchmen and how their coats are done 8)
-
Jolly splendid stuff old boy. ;D I am sure the "Client" must be delighted with these. ;)
I love the silk smoking jacket so much. I am now wondering whether I can find one in a 38 regular :D
-
Excellent. :)
Why such tiny photos though?
-
Looks great and the silk shirt looks good, I think it must be hard to make real silk look.
-
Not sure how it looks in real life, but the silk jacket in the piccie is BRILLIANT! Hmm, more ways than one.... ;)
Have to agree that the hench folk are smashing.
Of course, the fellow in black is quite good especially the shading on the pants, but merely outshined by the others. There's those 'shiny' references again...
Is the silk simply highlit drybrush, or is it metallic?

Bloody great work as usual Svennn. The smoking jacket is excellent on many levels. :-*
The colour scheme for the henchmen works well, quite an inspired colour scheme methinks ;).

I'd guess silver mixed in with the green, as GW have done in the past for some of their "Eavy Metal"-painted Lord Of The Rings figures.
He does look great and I'd like to see a close-up. Shame about the "BOMB" though ;)

I reckon they are going to the other gamer in Shropshire.... ;)

I don't think they will mind me confirming they are indeed going to one of the gamers in Shropshire :D
Bugs - Daler Irredescent acrylic from a tube added to green paint, I used a lot more than when I did the oriental ladies dress last year. I did have a selection of premixed colours in bottles, I think they call them inks, but they have all dried up completely. Not sure if they still do them, it was twenty years ago at least that I bought them.
M - I think you meant to type 38 short ;)
Its always fun doing stuff for Telford lad as you get "can you just". In this case it was add helmet badges to these chaps

Absolutely beautiful work
I really like the bomber and think that the satiny look on the smoking jacket is pretty cool,
do you think it will stand up to varnishing ok and not lose that cool effect, unless it was already varnished of course in which case cool :-*

I promise to behave and wont ask again. ;)
The badges look great, just what I need. Now I've got drivers for my Victorian Mariah's. Figures suggested by Malamute, purchased by me and converted by uncle Svennn. Job done.

Correctamundo, not me but the other one though. ;)

Ah the good old "can you just", almost as good as the "while you're there/at it..."
