I can't win, but I have been slaving away.  Give me a few more hours to finish off the Night Goblin unit and I'll try not to let the team down too much.  I've been pretty productive on the square basers, even did some terrain and I don't know what else.  Lots of Night Goblins the last 3 days...

Man o' Man.   o_o

Everything looks great so far!

Can't keep up with Matakishi but did manage 78 this month plus 3 builings and the walls for my Chinese enclave so quite chuffed.

Most have been shown in individual threads so no pics here.

This was a hard, hard month on the painting table.  Warhammer 8th Edition and being talked into playing in a campaign required a huge effort.  Plus I worked on some of my other long term projects, even some terrain.  Here is backwards in time Flickr style.  Some of these models were painted or partly painted prior to July, but I finished them and uploaded them to Flickr this month.

Whew...  Never expect me to repeat this much painting in a month.  And remember a lot of these models were partly painted or even basically done before this month, of course some of them were nothing and not even on my radar...

Just meant to paint a handful as a break from painting soldiers, but zombies turned out to be just too darn fun.

26 zombies for me.  Braaiiiins.

Nice zombies!

I've set myself a goal to paint 100 zombies.  It doesn't have a deadline.  Mantic is releasing some new Zombies soon.  There are so many different ones out there in 25/28mm scale.

Awesome stuff! Are these (http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc183/answeris42/Models/DSCF4361.jpg) from Perry's "Mafeking"?

I painted a lone viking (Crusader):

A French machine-gunner (Scarab):

A tiny (=cute) Force of Arms FT-17:

A heroic French leader (Copplestone):

Not a lot but much better than june :D

That’s really nice work  Pentaro. I really like how clean your painting style is. I especially like your WWI stuff (it’s one of my favourites period). I like how you’ve painted the Copplestone figure and the name of the tank make me smile when I saw it! lol
Title: Re: What I painted in July 2010
Post by: Pentaro on 01 August 2010, 10:28:39 PM
Thanks! I must admit I copied it - there's a real tank with that name in Zaloga's Osprey book. I love Jules Verne and tanks bog down a lot in the "Mud & Blood" rules, so I had to use that name. Hmm, seeing that picture reminded me that I didn't paint any identification on it!

Thanks again. The trees are pine and spruce cones covered with turf. They're cheap to make and come in many suitable shapes. You can put them on separate bases or glue a few together to make a freely standing group. Epoxy or hot glue are good choices for that job. Then just use wet PVA layers or some kind of varnish to hold the turf tightly. £5 will easily buy the materials for a whole forest.

Second page after two days into the new month? You keep amazing me, guys. :o
Here's what I've done so far, mostly stuff finished during the last days, lying around since June (before the heat wave screwed up my painting schedule).

16th Light Dragoons for the AWI

Two Elven maids (the third seen here before)

And a few other models, that I've not yet taken photos of because the basing is still to be done: Namely some Neo-Tsarist guerrilla and some Greek hoplites.
