Here is the first batch of painted models for the Royal Navy to give pirate scum what for. Officers and Able Seaman to follow (hopefully in the near future).
I know that these are not historically correct, but I like the look of the miniatures.
Thanks for looking

Absolutely wonderful!!! :-* :-* :-*
Thanks for sharing ...

I know that these are not historically correct
Who gives a toss?! (As we say in olde England) Patrick - they are superb. LOve the buff facings. Wonderful painting. More please! :D
-
Saw these on the "July" thread too. Very nice indeed. And as the Capt.says - f**k the button counters ;)
-
Good paintjob. Very "Pirates of the Caribbean"! Who makes them?
-
Beautifully painted figures! Thanks for sharing!
-
Very nice :o :o
Those Foundry SYW really rocks. Even though they will not meet a full historical enquiry it is a most delightful setup. The idea of press-ganging other ranges into Royal Marines is appealing. What other options might there be applicable?
-
These are very nice!
Thanks for sharing and please let us know from which foundry range are these (especially the blunderbuss guy!)
-
Are they Prussian Freikorps troops? The first thing I thought ( well, second the first was "superb") was they had a Prussian look to their hair and the moustache.
They are just fine for Pirate games, where historical accuracy is way down the list.
Beautifully done and a great bit of lateral thinking to come up with using them as RM ;D
-
They are spectacular :-*
-
They really do look good!
-
Thanks all for the kind works.
Indeed the miniatures are from Foundry. The troopers blister says SYWP66 Von Kleists Jager and the blunder bust is from SYWP73, Frei Korps NCO and Officers, as will the next batch of miniatures to be painted.
-
I thought I'd buy these (don't have the original link); they're English (you can guess it because they have no mustache):

Those look great! Thanks for the inspiration!

Very nice bunch of seamen, Patrick, lovely set!

Finished the officers. Miniatures are Foundry. Able seaman to follow.
Disclaimer: Not historically accurate. lol

Gorgeous, so Hollywood anti Pirate crew!! lol :P
-
lol He's just got to be a baddie with that red eye patch 8)
Great stuff. They look right even though they are "wrong", if you get my drift.
Can't wait to see the able seamen :D
-
Top stuff! Keep posting!
-
They are gorgeous!
-
Argh!
'Tis a wonderful sight to behold!
Especially like the young lad running and hold his hat.
-
Wow! Very nice - pirates beware!
-
Love 'em. Some of Foundry's best recent figures, and your paint job does them justice in spades.
-
Really nice! Thanks for showing, and happy gaming with them!!!
-
Beautiful stuff - the faces are full of character, and the colours are so rich and smooth.
-
Gorgeous minis! ;D
-
Brilliant! Love the geezer with the blunderbuss :-*
-
Gorgeous, so Hollywood anti Pirate crew!! lol :P
Indeed an enormous deed! Fabulous work, now give them a broad side!
-
Well done. Time to set sail and take after the scurvy scum of the seas. Hang em High when ya catch em!
-
Thanks all! Great miniatures to slap some paint on. Chuck (cwchmc) and I have a game in a week or so. Got to keep up with Chuck's painted pirates. The seaman are in the final stages now.
-
Very nice work!!
-
Lovely, those officers are now destined to be my Revenue men I think for my smugglers/highwaymen. There are some nice little gems in that range like the road workers too :-*
-
Inspiring paintjobs. They fit the flavor of what you're trying to do, so historicity be damned.
-
Here is the final installment for the Royal Navy...Seaman.

Fantastic work.
Lovely miniatures.
-
This is the best crew I've ever seen. :o Wonderful paint jobs and very nice use of various Foundry Ranges.

Again, like the Marines, they look spot-on, even though they probably aren't 100% historically accurate. A difficult trick to pull off ;D
Possibly the best collection of "pirate-era" figures I've seen.
All you need now is a Gregory Peck lookalike to stand harrumphing on the poopdeck ;)
A spectacular collection :)
Love the chap in the Rugby shirt ;)
Neil Back? Or maybe Peter Winterbottom lol
