Title: 28mm Medicine Man suggestions...
Post by: Col. Aubrey Bagshot on August 12, 2010, 03:39:29 PM
I know there are a couple of fogires by Foundry that are suitable, but does anyone know of a good 28mm Medicine Man figure by anyone else?
Been looking in all the usual places and cant seem to find any...

Couple of Voodoo type fugures, and a couple of Shamans so far head off my list, but if there are any proper 28mm figures out there for a medicine man, please let me know...

And if there really arent any, perhaps someone should corner the market...

There is the Old Glory Snake Oil salesman wagon in their Warpaint range that comes with a Medicine Man and assistants.

Try the Deadlands stuff available from Jeff Valent studios - They might have one.

Have you tried Dixon or Old Glory Old West Ranges?

Not sure of this set is any good for you.

Iroquois ritualists by Conquest, usually available from Northstar in the UK.

That was what I was going to suggest if the Colonel wasn't particularly fussy... there are a couple of those figures (3 and 4 I'm thinking) that could pass for Plains Indians I reckon. But I was a bit worried about whether they'd be a little small. I don't have mine to hand for a size comparison but I have a feeling they're a little smaller than some '28mm' figures.

3 and 4 ARE very nice indeed, ( as are most of the sculpts ) but yes, I have seen them "in the lead" are they are a tad small and thin...
Especially when put up against Black Scorpion figures...

They would look more like Medicine Children....

Any more suggestions?

Decent 28mm Medicine Men do seem to to be thin on the ground....
