Having been the one to suggest the forum games being played on the .45 Adventure forum, I thought I would give it a go myself for a SA game.
This will be a trial to see if it works, and if it does I might continue to run them.
The game will be a "Fight" scenario - fairly simple to test the waters so to speak.
This is the map I will be using (yes I know it is small, but I hope to have bigger ones in time):
I will need two players - one Threshold and one Lurker (duh! ;D )
I am waiting to hear back from LAFer "brotherAkkyshan" as he was the first to show interest in playing, and once I do, I will ask for another player or two. I don't know which side brotherAkkyshan wants to play as yet, so the prospective player could play either side.
Those wanting to play will need to provide me with their side's log sheet, and a photos of the minis they want to use for the game. An individual photo of each mini is needed.
Please don't send me the log sheets and photos until you have been chosen as a player ;)
I will edit those photos to fit in on the map.
Once I have all the things I need I will post the set up under a new thread and take it from there.
Players will issue orders and I will roll the dice and post results.
So... who wants to play?
-
Ok - this game is open to anyone, so first in best dressed for which side you want to play.
-
Ooooh! I'll volunteer as Threshold player. How's this for a start?
Character - Johnny Wong - Two .45's - Command (Free) & Two-fisted (5 BP / 6 BP)
Agent - Dirk Diggler - Double Barrel - Heroic (2 BP / 4BP)
Agent - Angus McKenzie - Tommygun - Tough (2 BP / 5 BP)
Total: 9 BP / 15 BP
Character - Johnny Wong

Agent - Dirk Diggler

Agent - Angus McKenzie

-
Sold - that is the Threshold player.
Any takers for Lurkers? The Lurker player must have at least four figures in the 'team', but more can be taken if you can pay for them in your 15 BP.
-
Malebolgia - seeing as you are the first (and only one) to join the game you can choose which side of the map to set up on - you have the initiative for the game.
I have added a grid to the map - you have the choice of any of the 'A' column (any row within 'A'), or and of the 'T' column (again, any row).
Only one figure can be placed in each square, and you can occupy any square on the map except for the ones with the big grey square tomb stones in (i.e. like the one in 'F1'), or those with tree trunks in them (i.e. like the one in 'H6').
Note on map movement: think of each square being 1'' of table top space - thus a .45 handgun has a range of 10 squares.
Figures in a square with other features count as having light cover depending on LOS etc.

A lot of people have looked at the topic, but so far no one wants to play the Lurker side.
If you want to play and don't have photos of minis, I hope we can sort something out.
If you don't want to play, but can provide some photos for someone else to use, please post the photos to the thread.
I can dig up a cultist if someone needs photos to play, but I only have one painted so far.
-
Interesting idea.

Awesome, thank you. :D Lovely painting too buy the way :-*
Ok - if anyone wants to play the lurkers and doesn't have figures/photos, please create your list from the choice of lurkers above (15 BP, so I wont expect to see werewolves etc for this game) and let me know which 'figures' you want to use I will prepare the images for play.
-
Why don't you play the Lurker, Sheerlock? Then we play a game, show the crowd how my agents blow your Lurkers away and then we swap sides for match 2 :)
-
Hmmm - tempting, but then I will be making the rolls for both sides... unless we use an online die roller that sends the results to both of us to ensure there is no cheating ;)
I will give it another day and then take up the role of the Lurkers to get a game going... so I will draw up my lurker list while I wait >:D
Your set up:

Awesome - thanks Jnr.
So now there are plenty of photos for people to use as Threshold Agents or Lurkers in a game :D
Most of the work for the game will be done by myself, so no need to worry about the mechanics - all prospective players need are to submit orders for each turn.
-
@Sheerlock: Oh, I don't mind you rolling the dice and being the Lurker. I have faith Lurkers don't cheat :D.
-
Excellent... then it looks like I am the lurker player for this game.
I will post the game set up ready for your orders for the first turn later today my time in a different thread.
My intention in the turn results to use less game talk and more description of events. :)
-
O.k.,
the lurker team for the game will be:
1 Cult Leader (Knife, .22 pistol) 5 BP
1 Serpent man 6 BP (11)
1 Cultist (.22) 1 BP (12)
1 Cultist (Knife) 1 BP (13)
1 Cultist (shotgun +1 BP) 2 BP (15 BP in total)
-
Don't forget to roll for the Serpentmans spell. >:D
looking forward to the death and destruction!

*Gets popcorn, finds ring-side seat* Sorry I'm late to the show! This is going to be great! :-* :-* :-*
Great idea and wicked initiative, Sheerluck.

A great idea indeed!! I´m reading the rules now so I prefer to watch the game from the outer space!!
-
ok - the final set up:
I have tried to keep all images big enough so that it is easy to tell who is who, and what weapons they have.
Serpentman's spell: I rolled a 6: Time Shift.... I was hoping for touch of death, or compel human, but time shift might come in handy.
Note on orders and movement - please state what orders are given in game terms, and any movement is done by indicating to which grid square you want to move a figure.
The game is now afoot! http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=21608.0 (http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=21608.0)
