I need help with a new project. I would like to make a mountain howitzer in 1836 but this I need a plan. I already found some pictures on the net, and it does not seem very difficult to do. the only real challenge will be the wheels. so if anyone has any representation or other document that can give me an idea of the scale, it will be appreciated.
I decided to make one because I've never found in 28mm

This is the 'Bullpup' M1841 a version of the French Obusier de Montagne de 12 modele 1828 which saw service around the world until 1898!

If I recall correctly the whole assembly is designed to be broken down and transported by mule. I believe the wheel diameters are the same as the barrel length... There are Sikh and even Japanese copies of this artillery piece in Museum collections but not carriages.

You could do no worse than reach out to the ACW reenactment fraternity in the States. I know there are several operational examples out there...

Yep that would be over 120 days! I'm a Museum curator so time is relative to me!
Hopefully he's built one in 1:1 scale by now!
I know of at least one American collector who had an original in his basement and trotted it out for ACW re-enactments...
