The last .45 Adventure 2nd edition game was set up on a large board. I didn't want to make everyone (especially Grimm) think it needed to be played bigger, so I spent part of the weekend making a new outdoor mat at a smaller size. This one is slightly larger than my normal 2x2 boards and is 2x3.
Like the large mat, this is a piece of painter's canvas. I used a combination of browns and tans for the ground color, added some darker trails and a small stream. I then flocked the whole thing with a combination of different greens.
I set up a small Broadsword game as that was the one I had figures out for, but I designed it for the next playtest of .45 Adventure 2nd Edition.

Looks good. Do you have any issues with the flock coming off when you roll it?

Nice one. One of the biggest issues when staging demo games is transportation of the board.
You haven't invented the rollable 'raised table', yet, btw...? ;)
I have had a LOT of use out of my take on your initial introduction of that concept. Not many games not played on top of it, ever since I constructed it. :)
Also looking forward to the .45A2...

Some. But no more so than having flock come off any other surface. After the spray glue and the flock, I hit it with a matte sealer and that seems to hold fairly well.
What comes off and shifts around the mat, seems to make the whole thing a little bit better.

Looks great! Do you have a link to your other mat btw?

You can also see some images from the last .45 Adventure playtest game where I used it.
