Hello All,
I don't know why it hasn't dawned on me before, but after watching an episode of Venture Bros. last night I realized that it would be perfect for gaming...
I have Savage Tales, would that be the best rule system?
How about miniatures? I love my Pulp Figures, but are there any suggestions for villains, henchmen, and good guys?
I think both the 'modern' era (with Dr. Rusty Venture) and the 'original' era (with Dr. Jonas Venture) would be great fun, even the Victorian era Dr. Venture (with very steampunk Victorian stuff...)
Anyways, I'm looking forward to hearing what you fine folks think!
Thanks
Harold

Zombiesmith Miniatures makes a set of "not-Venture Brothers" figures, as seen here:

My gaming group was commenting on this last week actually and we are busying looking for some way to convert the Monarch and his minions.

Thanks... I had heard Zombie Smith made some Not-Venture Bros but I had trouble tracking them down...
-
lol WOW! lots of votes for Zombie Smith
-
I need to get to work on the butterflies... ;)
-
I would snag a few of them :D
-
I've seen a great Doctor Orpheus converted from a clix Dr Strange.
-
And i am sure you some one could do a phantom limb from the phantom :o

I need to get to work on the butterflies... ;)
Let's see a Molotov Cocktease and a H.e.l.p.e.r. robot too! ;)
-
Sargent HATRED and this guys should be easy to put togther from a WW2 range.

I wish I could sculpt. I wanted to do this for a while. That not-Brock Samson, just doesn't capture his Swedish, mulleted glory.

Yeah, my least favourite of the 4 minis.
-
I was planning to replace not-Brock's chainsaw with a large combat knife from a GW catachans sprue.
-
Sorry, went for not exact but some greenstuff might help. Didn't need anyone coming after me.
-
Absolutely... i think they are very cool figures... but it's also good that you've made them where you can easily replace the chainsaw...satisfies both camps I think....
so when will we see more? ;)

It's easy enough to fix...

Very nice!
-
Ok, going to strip mine and start again. :D

While we're chatting so pleasantly, I thought that people might like to see the scratch-built H.e.l.p.e.r that I was working on a while back:

Eventually I shelved it because the scale was too large and I was having problems with the arms and with getting a smooth enough finish. I started the torso for a smaller H.e.l.p.e.r Mk II but that has been on hold for a while too.
-
sweet!
-
Very very impressive!
-
That HELPER looks good!
-
Well Heldrak you have convinced me to get a set, very nice work. As aoon as Zombiesmith finishes up that darn Black Wolf mini I can place an order!
-
I never knew these existed. Scientastic!
-
Now that their round in the LPL is over, I have restored the WIP pictures of my Brock Sampson conversion to this thread and here is a picture of my complete Venture Brothers team:

Wow, might have to use these for 7Tv!
-
Love that speed suit!
-
Those look like all kinds of fun!
-
Beautiful conversions. Is Molotova a converted Heroclix Black Widow?

As noted in the entry thread (and her own thread here on LAF), The Molotov figure is an unconverted Reaper Chronoscope not-Black Widow "Natalia".

Thanks for the info. Sorry, I hadn't read the entry thread. I know, heresy.
