Anyone know where I can get a campfire for my colonial explorer encampment? Does anyone make one in metal or resin?

Sounds like the kinda thing that Old Crow or Black Cat would do, I can't spot one myself on either site but you may get lucky searching about on them:

Grand Manner do the one in the centre of this picture (sorry you can't see it all that well in the pic):

It's more of a village cooking pot than explorer's campfire, really. But it's still a nice little piece of kit, with bowls of veg, pots and a slaughtered animal..

Thanks guys. The Reaper one looks good and it has lots of handy accessories for a camp.

I am sorry if I appear an a-hole here, but I am sometimes surprised at some of the items people are villing to _purchase_. A campfire? Isn't that one of the easiest things to model yourself at the cost of three matchess and a ring of pebbles?
-
I think that it is the actual fire thingie... convincing flames are damned hard to sculpt, IMHO.

...and even harder to cast into something convincing. I tend to stick to painting embers.

You're only an a-hole because you CAN sculpt something like that. The rest of us no-talent a-holes would rather buy and save the time for painting and gaming,

There's no way I could sculpt the flames, cooking pot, dead goat, wicker baskets with sweetcorn in them and other junk on the piece I posted.
Well I could try, but it would look like a load of crap. It doesn't make you an asshole, just a little deluded if you think everybody can make stuff like that easily. We're not all sculptors, you know.
-
Sorry, sorry, sorry.
At least we all vaguely agree that I am an asshole. ;-)
-
I couldn't possibly agree with that, Hammers old thing.
I can see your point a bit. The type of thing you describe would be pretty easy to make, but some of us are greedy, and want something a little more fancy-assed.
-
My comment was only in jest old boy. Surely I don't think you're an a-hole and I wasn't trying to stir the cannibal pot.

Why is everyone refering to me as a "grade A asshole" all of a sudden?
Am I that horrible?
-
Absolutely not!

I didn't realise there were different grades of A...holes... I was under the impression a hole is a hole, but obviously I am wrong.
I don't think you are one Hammershield, although I have never met you and cannot therefore vouch for you in person

I'm just kidding. :-) I didn't get enough attention from my mother so I'm compensating.
