Title: French & Indian Wars buildings
Post by: Poiter50 on 10 September 2010, 10:32:00 AM
Can a kindly LAFer point me in the direction of makers of suitable 25/28 mm buildings? A fellow club gamer here is looking for something to use.

TIA

Conquest has a cabin and a pair of longhouses which all come pre-painted and very reasonably priced. I have these and they are good.

I have used the big blockhouse from Peagsus. The scale is 1/72 but it works also with 28mm miniatures. Here are some pictures of my building (with a different roof) together with some 28mm miniatures…

Mine are all from Grand Manner. Chunky, but very nice indeed.

Redoubt used to do a rather nice blockhouse with liftoff roff and full interior detail, but this particular item is no longer listed on their website  :(

Having seen the Pegasus building I went online to see what else Pegasus do and ended up buying that one and two other boxes with two buildings in each totalling 5 buildings for £21 inc. postage...result...fingers crossed they are good for the 25/28mm figs but they certainly look it from the photos...cheers
 for the tips lads

Great to see that my enquiry on this matter has assisted another LAFer as well as the friend I made the enquiry for in the first place.  :D

This forum is such a wealth of gaming and modelling knowledge. Thanks to all who throw info at myself and all the other enquirers.

Got my buildings and they are perfect...25/28mm figs come up to the top of the doors  but are absolutely fine for wargaming purposes...the alternative is Grand Manner which are of course the DB's but a tad pricey compared to £20 for five top buildings

That sounds interesting, where did you find 5 buildings for that price?
