Title: Heavy Gear Blitz Heavy Tanks
Post by: Tri3 on September 27, 2010, 06:50:19 PM
I have posted up some pictures of the various Heavy Gear Blitz tanks (South, North and PAK.)  http://miniaturereview.blogspot.com/2010/09/dream-pod-9-heavy-gear-tanks.html (http://miniaturereview.blogspot.com/2010/09/dream-pod-9-heavy-gear-tanks.html)

I really think these tanks look impressive on the table top.  Dream Pod 9 makes some bigger vehicles, but these really stand out.

Check your link, there is something wrong with it.

Yes, I can't get anything either  :(

I presume they are 28mm. They look like very good quality models so I'd suspect they aren't cheap. They have a very nice "hard SF" look to them, which makes them very tempting to me. I love that big old gatling on the grav-tank  :-*

Easy enough to fix the link issue.
Open up the link, you will get the error message. Go to the address bar and remove the extra http://" from the address line and your all better.
Easy enough fix. :-)

DP 9 is exclusively 15mm.

DP 9 is exclusively 15mm.

1/144 scale, actually, which is smaller than 15mm. I think it's 12mm or perhaps 10mm.

The Heavy Gear stuff often works in 15mm anyway, just as slightly lighter vehicles than they're "supposed" to be. We use a lot of HG vehicles in our 15mm SF games.

15mm would have been impressive,  1/144 even more so  8)

Saves me a buying headache, as I don't do that scale for SciFi. Both relieved and sad  :?

Link is fixed.  Yep these are 144 scale, although I would say they are on the big side of that scale.  They are definitely not 15mm though.

Yup ...having painted my share of DP9 vehicles and infantry, I can assure you that they are indeed 1/144 that comes out between 10-12mm.
