We released our second pack of French & Indian War Anglo American Rangers the other day: FIW RAN 2 Rangers Wearing Scots Bonnets.

I'm working on command and characters for these (among other sculpts) at the moment. Don't forget the Rangers painting guide on the website.

Ooh yes, they are very nice ;D

Agreed, very nice!
-
I've added some pics of greens and information about up-coming Ranger packs to the Studio page of the website.

Yep, great poses and nice painting :-*

Yes, very nice. I'm a big fan of the Scotch Bonnet. 8)

Darkoath
Soon........... but not as soon as you and I would have liked ::)

The command pack is complete, I've just got to finish off Rogers for the personality pack, and a couple of other bits, and they'll be off for master mould making.

Looking good! Can't wait to get these! :-*
Ohhh and please please please do some casualty figures for each of your sets... I use these for
effects markers on units and there really are not that many available for the FIW! Even if you just
do a large pack of them with a little bit of everything I would guess they would sell well...

Likey, likey, that officer chap is lovely. :-*
-
Thanks chaps.
Casualty markers will appear at some point......... it's just that I've got so much other stuff under way ahead of them :)

Nice figures. I'm painting some of your rangers at the moment as a comission job. I suspect he'll be sending me that pack soon. That reminds me I need to take a few pictures before I send them off to him. I'll probably be adding these to my own collection soon enough.
-
Great stuff, bring them on!
How many figs in the "personality pack" then? It seems from reading that it will be three?

That's right, in this case anyway: Rogers and 2 rangers - one a named character. When I've finished Rogers, I'll put them all up on the site :)
Aaron, that's good to hear; it'd be nice to see some of those pictures too. 8)

I think I would rather enjoy painting a couple of these as they are rather nice indeed but I will have to hang onto what spare cash I have for other projects.

Go on Svenn ..... You know you want to ;)

Very, very nice, I think this pack is my favourite so far. ;D
-
Very beautiful! I recognize that pose from the Annotated version of his Journal, great work.
I'll await with money in hand for the official release. I really like the other new officers/leaders as well.
Keep up the great work!!

(said with huge grin and poop eating grin on face) NICE!! (Nodding head too!)

Very nice new greens! Really looking forward to this set! ;D

Any release dates Lance? I have family coming from the UK in 8 days? :)

Sorry Rusti - not quite as quick as that, though a couple of weeks ago I thought they would have been. The masters are going in for production mould making in a couple of days, but I don't expect the castings will be back in time to get to your family - should be ready within a few days of then though. Always worth waiting a few extra days for the castings to be just right. :)
Thanks for the comments chaps - much appreciated 8)

I can confirm that the new packs will be available to order from the site within a week.
Then it's back on with sculpting the Provincials and the first packs of our British Regulars (and some other stuff) ;)

Great news. The provincials are sorely needed! I have some of the Eureka figures, but they are posed a bit stiffly for forest fighting.
-
Brilliant news, I've been looking at the Eurekas and thinking about them for some time. Glad to hear, with a little patience, I'll be able to get them from you Lance. Like the other poster, I'm not really into the Eureka poses.
-
I’ve been lucky enough to be able to see the new greens and the first figures out of the moulds in the flesh and they are very good.
I’ve also just managed (though fair means!) to get my hands on one of the Ranger officers and new Iroquois figures which I hope to paint up this week. I'll post them up when they are done.
-
Less typing, more painting...new Iroquois figures you say?
-
Doh...I meant Mohawks...
anyway here he is:

Thanks for posting that! Is that a giant wooden cross around his neck?
-
Yes, it is a very large wooden cross...I do like this figure, runnning forward with the club raised. GM figures are getting better and better with each new release (and I'm not just saying that 'cas he's a mate! :D)

D'oh - you meant Huron ;)

Lol, that makes more sense, though there were a few Christian Iroquois.
The more club and hatchet swinging natives the better! Hopefully this is the beginning of an entire pack of them?

Well, there could be one...I better go back to the I spy woodland Indians book and read the chapter on how to recognise the different tribes in 3 easy steps... ;)
