Title: I probably don't need to go this route...
Post by: Conquistador on 08 October 2010, 10:44:46 PM
Looking at Gothic Horror gaming to compliment my Super, VSF, and Zorro games...  another "ooh, shiny" combined with multi-tasking for my adobes...  sigh...

I see a sticky for rules, do we need a sticky for miniatures sources?

Gracias,

Glenn

Foundry has some vampires and, more importantly, a gigantic range of Victorian folks to serve as human hunters.

Heresy has a small range of monsters and undead, including the creepiest ghouls I've ever seen.

Heresy's vampires are lovely, much nicer than Foundry's in my opinion. I love the "Gary Oldman" version.

I just wish I could remember where I put mine  :(

So, over the last month or so I've been spending lunch hours idly tracking down loads of resources for a Victorian Gothic Horror project I've been planning. I'm getting close to finding everything I need now, which means I may have to make a start soon (time and funds allowing).

Anyhow, I figured I'd order all my bookmarks and contribute to this thread, especially if it's going to be made a sticky. Hope you find it useful!

You could use GW Mini's aswell, look at there Vampire Counts section, lots of stuff in there for your actual Vampires and Monsters and also the Empire Militia would work as hunters?

Cheers

The miniature is very good but it cost almost 15 euros plus postage.

psyberwyche,

I was disappointed there's no 'O' in your nom-d-list, as I was going to work up an acrostic that included 'psycho'. ;->=

Well done! Gothic horror isn't my first stop on LAF, but I've admitted freely that the barriers 'tween it, steampunk, and VSF are very in my weak brain, though some some claim the entire organ is indeed weak, and your effort is greatly appreciated!

You've made a single post that is almost worthy a sticky of it's own, but well and truly enhanced in a very short order by others.

I hope Malamute is watching!

Oh, wait, that was a bit silly of me...  lol

After a subject change, of course! Conquistador, I believe you do the honors.

Cheers guys, glad to have been of help. My list is mainly aimed at Victorian stuff, and anything remotely compatible with Victorian era gaming, but I've already been quite interested by the additions from other LAFers :)

Yeppers!

Er, it's already up there... ;->=

Told you I was being silly with the whole 'I hope Malamute is watching...'  :D

Instead of moving this thread to a sticky, he started a new one; I like that, a bit cleaner. And, a fine list it is already.

Not on our web site but we carry 25/28mm Lledo horse drawn business wagons.  They are mostly enclosed and some have drivers. Send me an email for a list of business logos available.

I'm lost.  What does that mean in context of the discussion?

I think he is referring to a number of the Lledo wagons being suitable for Victorian era games.

I have several that populate my Victorian London. They do a nice police wagon and a brewery dray. Not Gothic Horror specific, but they do add eye candy and set dressing.
