Post by: Delaney on October 21, 2010, 11:21:50 PM
The Skulldred beta four is now out, and as usual its free to download in exchange for your playtest notes!

Get your copy here...

Battle reports would be awesome!

In beta 1.04 you now have the ability to make your own custom units with a points system and field magic users (with a limited list of the full Skulldred spells).

This will be the last beta for a while- so you have plenty of time to play.

Thanks Dave! Still haven't played b3 (good read though) but look forward to give b4 a spin at some point. Or the final version... :D

Looking forward to seeing what people think - since its quite a big change.  Happy to go back to normal dice.

Have a huge list of revisions to the text itself (cheers all!), but want to wait for some games to be played before I update.

Some notes:  hero means +1 action dice.  Originally I had veterans with +1, heroes with +2.  You may see mention of veterans.  Bad games designer.
The minimum you should pay for a unit is its size cost.
The example lists 2 AP as a cost- you no longer have to pay for action points... ignore that.

Had a few comments about using bullet points- I thought it clarified rules, making it easier but some folk want it in paragraphs they can get the gist of in one go.  Any comments?

Hei Dave,

red the rules yesterday and just have a small question about the action dice.
So, unless the mini did not have the "Hero" skill, everyone has 2 action dice?

Am not sure about that.
