The confederate artillery high in the mountains cant quite hit the buildings in town, but they sure did hit my southern mansions just outside of town, which is now being used as Union Headquarters.

Nice. Lots of small details too. I might copy that… eh… borrow the idea ;)

The model looks very very good, I don't think I have every seen such vibrant colours on a ruin, they are always grey and brown. Only question, what did you use for the base plate?
-
Hello
The base is cardboard and styrofoam
-
I think the Styrofoam doesn't get any added strength from the cardboard, but the curls of the card at the edges is quite visible, you might consider leaving it of next building.

Reminds of Gone with the Wind. Gret stuff!
-
What a detailed model - beautiful and sad really - a glorious home reduced to that state! :'(
-
love the wall paper an Grandfather clock- how did you do that?
-
hello Rob,
Thanks for the comments, The grandfather clock came from a small doll house set and the wallpaper , I downloaded it off the net, its an exact copy of civil war era wallpaper.

cool.

Delightful stuff :-*
I agree about the cardboard base, perhaps next time go with some MDF or hardboard.
