Post by: timg on October 23, 2010, 12:49:53 PM
Hi,

Can anyone recommend suitable Vallejo paints to use for brickwork and tiles etc on buildings? Looking for suitable shades if anyone can help?

cheers Tim

I like burnt cadmium red, red brown, and red leather for traditional "red" brickwork.

Hi Tim,
An expensive choice of paints to use on buildings. Have you thought of looking at alternatives in craft shops like larger bottles of acrylic paint. Try some of the Artists acrylic paints?

Thanks Gents, apologies for the late reply but have been absent for a while. Shall check out hobbycraft soon and see if they have anything suitable.

Malamute is right, it's far too expensive a brand to use on the massive things which are buildings!

Get thee to B&Q or Homebase and pick up some of those cheap "sample/tester" paints for under a quid a pot. Tons of colours, good tough finish, wallet still has cash in it...
